About Us

At Momoh’s Shelter-less Children Foundation (MSCF), we believe that every child deserves love, care, and a future full of possibilities. Too many children in Sierra Leone are left vulnerable—living on the streets, struggling without access to education, and exposed to the dangers of neglect and abuse.
That’s why we take action. Our mission is to rescue, nurture, and empower homeless and less-privileged children in Kenema, the Western Area, and beyond. Through education, shelter, family reunification, and essential welfare services, we help children rewrite their stories—from hardship to hope.
Founded by Peter Vandi Momoh and Marcia McPherson, MSCF is a beacon of hope for children who have no place to call home. We are actively working to expand our reach and impact, but we can’t do it alone. With your support, we can give these children a second chance at life.

Who Do We Help?

Our Support for Orphans in Sierra Leone

We support three main categories of orphans in Sierra Leone:

Paternal Orphans

Children who have lost their fathers but have surviving mothers.

👩‍👧

Maternal Orphans

Children who have lost their mothers but have surviving fathers.

Dual Orphans

Children who have lost both parents and face the toughest survival challenges.

While all these children need help, dual orphans are the most vulnerable, often with no access to food, education, or basic care. Our goal is to give them hope, dignity, and a brighter tomorrow.

The Harsh Reality
Sierra Leone is home to thousands of orphaned and abandoned children who struggle daily for survival. Many have lost their parents, while others have been forced onto the streets due to poverty, abuse, or neglect.
These children face hunger, violence, and exploitation, with no one to protect them. Girls, in particular, are at high risk, often forced into child labor or worse, just to get by.
This is where MSCF steps in—to rescue, protect, and give them a future they deserve.
